No. Every Powerball draw is completely random, and no system can predict or influence the outcome. Our picks are combinations that pass 9 purely combinatorial filters — structural properties like parity, spacing and sum range. Passing a filter describes a ticket's structure; it does not increase your probability of winning. In 97% of draws so far, the winning combination has failed at least one of our filters — almost exactly what a fair lottery predicts.

We generate 50,000 random number combinations and score each one against 9 purely combinatorial criteria — parity, spacing, sum range, modular balance, and more. Each criterion is weighted by how much of the C(69,5) space it filters out. Only about 2.4% of combinations pass all 9; the crowd gate then keeps the 187,303 of those with at most two numbers from 1–31 (about 1.7% of all combinations), and your picks are drawn from that set. Every pick passes all 9 criteria, so the weights never decide which tickets you receive; they only shape the 0–100 score shown on the checker and results pages.
The only thing about a ticket that can be improved is how many people you would share a jackpot with. Using per-tier winner counts from 1,412 draws we measure which numbers the public over-plays: winning sets with four or five numbers from 1–31 are held by about 1.5× as many players as average, sets with at most two by about 7% fewer, and Powerball 7 is held about 13% more often than chance. Since v8.0 your picks use only combinations with at most two numbers from 1–31, and the Powerball is drawn in proportion to how under-played it is. None of this changes the odds — every combination still has the same 1 in 292,201,338 chance — it only lowers the expected number of co-winners if you hit.

Our statistics pages and weekly fairness audit use every draw from the current 5/69 Powerball format (since October 2015) — currently 1,413 draws — sourced from the NY Open Data API. Earlier draws used a smaller ball pool, so mixing them in would distort the statistics. The scoring itself uses none of that history: its bands and weights are exact constants of the 5/69 game.
No. We ran full cryptanalysis on more than 1,300 consecutive Powerball draws — spectral tests, PRNG identification across 35 generators, NIST SP 800-22 — and confirmed the draws are indistinguishable from true random.
